Muy buena ubicacion con salida privada a la playa. Incluye reposeras en la playa. Cocina muy bien equipada y todo muy nuevo. Cama muy amplia y comoda. Hay personal disponible durante el dia (hasta las 18:30) para solucionar cualquier problema. Mensión especial a la buena disposición del anfitrión que me permitió un check-in mas temprano y una salida más tarde. Realmente excelente lugar.

“I would definitely stay again!”

I was traveling alone with my 5 year old, and this place was perfect for us! Right on the beach, with access to a pool, and food on the premises. The room was clean and comfortable (with good AC!), and all of the staff were so kind and accommodating to us. I would definitely stay again!

“It’s a perfect get away”

I’ve been visiting the Diving Lodge in Puerto Morelos for 7 years and love it more each time. It’s a perfect get away. It feels like coming home. The staff is amazing. Catch the sunrise on the beach each morning. Step out of your room and have your feet in the sand. Walk the beautiful beach to town for amazing food options!

“Truly a magical spot”

We (2 female friends in their 60's) truly enjoyed our stay at The Diving Lounge. It was pleasurable in so many ways; beautiful location, with wonderful walkability, and super friendly staff. We had the sense of being part of the community from the start.
Cabina #1 was spacious, clean, and comfortable with everything we needed for an exceptional stay. Host Briana was responsive to any inquiry and the staff on site were available to assist promptly as well.
We loved being so close to the ocean, on the sand a few steps from our door, as well as the food and beverage options delivered by friendly, capable staff. We talked frequently of coming back again as soon as we could and plan to do so. The Diving Lodge in Puerto Morelos is truly a magical spot.

“2nd time staying at DLD and it did not disappoint”

This time we stayed in Cabin #5-6 and it was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The little balcony is especially nice to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. Briana is very attentive and responds to all of your questions, etc. She was also very flexible with us when we needed a bit of an earlier check-in. This place is a wonderful, small and cozy boutique resort with a fabulous beach bar. All the staff get an A+. Highly recommend! Thanks Briana for another great stay!

“We loved our stay!”

Briana was responsive and accommodating. The bed was super comfy, and the location was awesome. All staff members were friendly and welcoming. We loved the live music and the little farmer’s market that popped up. Note that there were some parties that went late and were quite loud; we expected that because of being above a bar but it might not be your cup of tea if you’re an early bird.

“This is a hidden gem!”

Walking distance from all the town square has to offer, couldn’t be any closer to beach and the staff….can’t say enough about how great they were!! Panda keeps the grounds immaculate, the ladies in the kitchen made perfect lunch selections daily and the boys in the bar were more than attentive and friendly! Jesus Gave great recommendations on local places for dinner, spoke great English, Abraham did a little bit of everything. If you are lucky enough to be there on a Sunday when Nayo’s mom visits (sorry if I spelled that wrong) you might even get a taste of a 100% authentic homemade tamale. Brianna never left me hanging, her responses were immediate and in addition to welcoming us she checked on us daily via What’sapp. Headed back to Puerto Morelos this week and can’t wait to go back and visit with the people that felt like family by the time we left.

“You cannot go wrong staying here. 10/10!”

I have stayed in Puerto Morelos numerous times over the last 10 years and I can say with confidence that the Diving Lodge is hands down the best value and most well-appointed lodging we have enjoyed while there. It's about a 10 minute leisurely stroll to the square, but has everything you need right there. Friendly staff, a great beach bar, umbrellas and loungers, a pool, working AC and plumbing... I mean, it's just the best. We look forward to coming back next year and enjoying some scuba diving as well. Thank you for a great stay!

“Our 6 day stay at the Dive Lodge was excellent”

My wife and I have been to Mexico many times, so we have an informed opinion. The room, property, location, view, and staff were simply perfect. The staff and owners clearly give daily attention to detail, a great group of people. The on-property bar was really fun, very good food, cool bartenders, sports TV, atmosphere, soft sand etc. Everything you would want in a beach setting. It is a short beach walk to the main downtown center where more fun can be found. Thanks to them! A special place....

“Exceeded our expectations”

Clean, spacious, everything you need. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Steps to the beach. Nice and quiet. The bar is quite popular during the day but has modest hours so doesn’t disturb your stay. Close to downtown but far enough that it is private. Can’t wait to visit again

 “Best little secret in PM - not for long”

"What a Gem. Right on the beach, wonderful location and real charm. Hosts are so friendly and just loved it. Paradise feel with nice amenities, clean rooms, super hot showers, chilled and organized. Yoga every day and if you dive, then jump on boat right there, wonderful bar right on site! Best spot in PM. Although I hope it stays the same and does not get discovered as I want to come back and have it available. Feel it will become very popular and booked up far in advance."

“Best location in PM”

 We've been coming to Puerto Morelos for years and didn't think there were many more new ways to experience it....could not have been more incorrect! We needed a small spot for a quick get-away without the kids and stumbled across Briana's place. True paradise! We stayed in the Palapa suite and soaked in every minute of this lovely property. Every staff member was gracious and friendly.

“Beach club is small and perfect”

Staff kept us stocked with bottled water and fresh linens. Lodge caretaker Panda took good care of us when the power went out. Muchas Gracias a DLD!

“This place is incredible”

It is on the beach and was our favorite spot in Mexico. Lots of great restaurants that are a 5 min walk down the street. My family of 5 had 2 different rooms and that worked well for us. It has a dive shop and a pretty busy restaurant / bar on the sand that gave the place a lot of energy. It wasn’t loud and annoying, but added to the enjoyment of the location. You must stay here. Way better than the all inclusive we stayed at in Playa.

Great location by the beach and a 10-15 minute walk to the town square. They accommodated our baby with a crib, high chair, and beach toys. The staff at the daytime beach club are very friendly and we enjoyed a relaxing stay!

“The diving lodge is a vibe!!”

Everything the previous reviews have said is true. We stay for 8 days and couldn’t have been happier. The place was clean and spacious. The massage parlor, the bar (and their music), the beach and warm Caribbean water, the pool were all incredible. One morning the ocean was completely still - no wind at all - there were fish swimming in knee high water. It was sooo incredible. Communication with Brianna was great. The staff is so sweet. They were so accommodating to us and our 2.5 year old toddler. Many thanks to Señora Esperanza is sweet and the incredible bar tenders - Jesus, Tony, Gregorio and the other two gents that served us (I forget their names) are all heart! Did I mention the music at the bar OMG! I love you guys! Thank you. We’ll be back! 🥰🌸

“This place is special”

"There is nothing like it in PM. The room was adorable, the beach was beautiful and the pool was perfect for nighttime dips. There is a large palapa for yoga and respite from the sun. There is also charming little beach bar with an amazing staff. This place is what really set the property over the edge for me, the guys who run the bar are so great. They have you feeling like family as soon as you sit down".

“We we so excited to get to The Diving Lodge, and we were not disappointed! “

We stayed in cabina 3, which was essentially a tree house! The view was awesome! The bed was comfy! There was a fresh drinking water dispenser! The space was everything it needed to be. You're not spending tons of time in the room....or at least you shouldn't be! There's a great pool area overlooking the beach and adjacent to the bar. THE BAR! We were immediately welcomed by the friendly staff, and enjoyed laughs, conversation and libations every day. There's also a kitchen with basic bar fare available. The Diving Bar is popular with the locals, and is a fun place to be. The Lodge is in a great location, with the center of Puerto Morelos a short easy walk. There are tons of restaurants and each evening they block off the road and the shops and restaurants spill out into the street with food and an excellent live music scene. We fell in love with Puerto Morelos, in part to The Diving Lodge!

“Our stay at The Downtown Diving Lodge was amazing”

There was more than enough room for our big family. The beach and the pool is a 30 second walk from the Cabins. The DLD provides you with beach towels, Palapas and beach chairs to enjoy time at the white sandy beach. Briana was amazing at communicating with me before and during our stay. Additionally, her staff worked diligently to accommodate our early check in since we had taken a red eye flight. Our family was very appreciative of how attentive Briana and all of her staff is. We rented bicycles during our entire stay which was a great asset as it took us 5 min to get to amazing restaurants, the town Plaza, Chedraui grocery store and the Malecón. Overall, it’s an amazing property to vacation.

My husband and I LOVED super cozy Cabin #3 at the Downtown Diving Lodge! Our trip coincided with a tropical storm that had us stuck in our room for 3 1/2 of our 5 days, but wow, what a great place to be stuck! This thatched roof room practically on the beach is a winner, just like the photos show. Briana was very responsive when we needed a couple of things and took care of us right away. Thank you for providing plenty of drinking water in the room! The bed was super comfy with no transfer of movement. The rest of the DDL crew on the property and the bar was awesome too! Fun times, good drinks! We would definitely book Cabin #3 again. The one and only caveat would be to couples who might be shy about their bodily functions, since the bathroom door is open-air at the top and bottom as photos show. We found this to be more private than it appears and not a problem at all.

As always, the place was clean and relaxed. The food was great and the drinks are so fresh and delicious. Communication was so easy and check in and check out was a breeze. The extra welcome package was nice for info on a taxi to and from the airport.

“The DL is one of those places you want to keep to yourself”

"Our villa was like a hut in mid air, and was a cozy home away from home. The yoga platform is a great chill spot that sets the tone for this unique little spot. Briana is an amazing hostess, providing round the clock care, and helping you know the real local scene. You’ll have to learn about the bar on your own, which is a fun scene in its own right. The DL keeps getting better and better!"

“This is a magical little place in the adorable little village of Puerto Morelos”

We stayed here for 5 days during our anniversary vacation. The hotel offers a beach club to day use guests however the pool is solely for the hotel guests. The beach club offers loungers under palapa umbrellas, delicious food, amazing cocktails and happy vibes. The staff deserves 10 stars. Anna, Tony, Jose & the adorable cleaning girl. They are all amazing. The room was beautiful, the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. The bed was comfy, shower was warm, AC was cooold, & most important it was quiet and peaceful. The location is beautiful of course beach front. For restaurants, we suggest taking a taxi to the colonia side for inexpensive authentic Mexican cuisine or opt for the nearer options in the beach area. Taxis are cheap $2-3 & meals are usually $5-10 each. Highly recommended is mangatos next to the church in the beach area village & boquinettes for tacos on the beach. The food is awesome. Thank you Bri & Luis for a wonderful stay. We will be back.
