PET FRIENDLY GUIDELINES

Keep your pet on a leash anytime you are outside. Please avoid unwanted interactions with other people, or street dogs. Help us keep the environment safe and fun for everyone.

Pets should not be left alone, or unattended inside the rooms for long periods of time.
We get it! He/she can stay alone for a while. You know them, their limits and tolerances, and we trust that you won’t put them or anyone else, in an unwanted situation. Make sure to leave the Do Not Disturb Sign on your unit door if they are in the unit.
Please remember to get them used to the surroundings, hang out with them in the room for a while, and make sure they are comfortable in their new temporary home before leaving them alone for a long time.
Pets must be “potty trained” (outside-trained). You are responsible for collecting and disposing of this in an effective way, and making sure your pet doesn’t pee on any furniture or building walls.
Going out to restaurants:
Most Puerto Morelos restaurants are pet-friendly, so you can take your pet out to enjoy meals together, and take a stroll with them on the Puerto Morelos streets.
You may also request to bring your pet to the Diving Bar beach club (based on good behaviour). This is to avoid disrupting other patrons and maintaining a safe and peaceful environment.
Going to the beach:
Puerto Morelos beaches are not pet-friendly.This means you are not allowed to let your pet run on the beach or in the sea. People discovered breaking this rule could receive a fine by the local authorities.
Update: Since 2026 you can now walk your pet on the beach. They must be on-leash, you must have poo-baggies visible + their medical certification available on hand if requested.
Good behaviour is a must!
