THE BASICS: Location, Transport, Parking & Check-in

TRANSPORT OPTIONS

ADO BUS:
1. Take ADO bus from the Cancun Airport to Puerto Morelos.

Make sure it’s going directly to Puerto Morelos and not Cancun.
2. At the ADO Station in Puerto Morelos, take a 10 minute taxi/uber to the Diving Lodge Downtown.

Cost for taxi: $40-50 pesos, tell them it’s right next to UNICO Beach.

CAR RENTAL:

Rent from one of the known airport car rental companies — having a reservation is recommended!

LOCAL CAR RENTAL:

Contact Ron (+52) 984 233 8610 for a highly recommended local car rental service.

TRUSTED PRIVATE DRIVER:

Contact Jin Ceballos from Ride Mexico at: ridemexico@gmail.com. Offering airport rides + other destinations.

UBER: available in most areas. Not available for airport pick-ups, only drop-offs.

CANCUN AIRPORT TAXI: Always available. Expect a higher last minute fee. You can take any taxi back to the airport for your departure.

Parking is included for guests, please let us know in advance to secure a spot.

EASY CHECK-INS

Our goal is to provide a seamless arrival & departure experience for our guests.

Please share your travel details with us ahead of time so we can make any possible adjustments needed!

On the day of your check-in you will receive a message via whats-app from your local host Paola, confirming your arrival details.

She will check-you in personally, or leave things ready for you to enter via the lockbox next to the unit door and share the 4-digit code!

  • Check-in time is 3:00 PM

  • Check-out by 11:30 AM

    We always allow for early check-ins and late checkouts, at no additional fee, subject to availability. This means we can’t guarantee it, but if it’s available, it will be free of charge.

    For early bird arrivals/red eye flights, we offer secure early check-ins and/or checkouts for an additional MX $550.00 fee.

    For late night arrivals or delays (after 8:00 PM) we offer a lockbox service to collect your cabina keys.

FRIENDLY REMINDER

There is no formal reception office at The Diving Lodge Downtown. Our ‘front desk’ is our beach bar, our lobby, the sand.

Please share your arrival details with us ahead of time so we can best assist you.

Cabinas #1, #2 and #3 are located in the central building of the property.

Cabina #3: Upstairs Unit

Cabinas #4 and #5-6 are located in the entrance building, located on the right side, as you enter from the street gate.

Besides your favorite beach wear, and comfortable walking shoes (Puerto Morelos is a casual beach town) we suggest packing:

  2. Eco-Friendly Mosquito Repellent (for evenings out)

  3. Reef-Friendly Sunscreen (if you wear a sun protector)

  • Parking: Our parking lot is limited and operates on a first-come-first-serve basis. We do reserve spaces for guests on the day of arrival, please let us know in advance.

  • Room Cleaning: Available every 2 nights (alternating days). Bed linens and towels are changed upon request.

  • Palapa & Lounge Chairs: Beach seating is included for lodge guests. Please reserve at the bar to ensure availability.

  • Swimming Pool & Sun Deck: Please see hours and follow posted rules.

    Guests may connect to any of our complimentary Wi-Fi networks listed below. Each room has a card with the network meant for that unit.

  • Safety Deposit Box (with key)

    Keep important belongings in the safety deposit box. The key is found on your set of room keys.

  • Complimentary H2O provided via a “garrafon”. Please ask us for a refill when needed.

  • Welcome Coffee/Tea Kit: Ground black coffee + sugar/sweetener + creamer substitute & tea bags to start your stay. Extra kits are available for purchase if needed.

Please turn off the air-conditioner, fan and lights and lock the door on your way out! Leave the keys back in the lockbox.
